“arrays of flowers of death
humming the hymns of mourning
with
you
invitation of mourning
then transpires
a painful acknowledgment
yet a bittersweet grief and healing
perhaps it doesn’t have to be so hard
so come here with me
on a yellow cart on a bright day in March,
you may taste a bit of the sweetness of life, too.”
