Commissioned privately in 2019, Hur completed this large scale drawing specifically designed for the collector’s home in Brooklyn. Over two years, the artist traced time line by line, alternating in black and yellow ink. The artist imagined the drawing disappearing into the sky above the ceiling of the house. The largest drawing the artist has produced yet, it is a meditative and arduous accumulation of gestures. This drawing echoes the steady process arching over the pandemic and loss.
